Old Navy Stuff & Save haul 07.11.12

I love it when Old Navy does their Stuff & Save events! Basically, you have to be a card member (Old Navy, GAP, or Banana Republic). You get a free tote, stuff it with goodies and save 40% on everything inside! They usually do one day with 40% off and about a week with 30% off.

I was really surprised to see alot of clearance items at my Old Navy. Here's what I picked up, prices listed after the 40% discount.

Hello Kitty shirts $2.99 each

Pink and Purple skinnies $8.99 each

Maxi skirt $4.79

Free tote!!

Did you pick up any goodies on Stuff & Save Day?

I don't own a flannel top, so I said, why not? These will go great with jeans or shorts. Original price $24.94, Paid $6.25

These are sooo cute!! They are lined with faux fur on the inside, and feel extremely comfortable. Original price $ 39.94, Paid $7.99

I also picked up a sweatshirt for the hubs and paid $2 on it! (not pictured)

I was bummed that I wasn't able to find any bottom pieces, I was looking for a cute skirt or something. Anyhow, it turned out to be a great savings day at Old Navy :]

Haul: The Body Shop on 05/12/11

I wanted to share my haul from The Body Shop today. I purchased them with my Groupon deal, but I also splurged a little! I couldn't help it, the sales associates were extremely helpful at the store.

They had a sale on their make up and skin care line when I went last week - Buy 3, get 2 free! I picked up a few things and got some for free :]

Brush-on beads bronzer - $21
Flawless skin protecting concealer in 03 - $16.50
Skin Primer - Moisturize It - $14
Vitamin Hydrating E toner - $12 (got this free)
Lip Scuff - $12 (got this free)
Rounded handle facial brush - $3
Love Your Body card - $10

Ah, at the check out, I think the sales associates are mandatory to try to sell this card to you. I'm a sucker for SAs who are helpful and informative, so of course I purchased their Love Your Body card. I figured that although it cost me $10 for the card, I will save 10% on my purchase today, and plus on my birthday month (next month), I get a $10 credit toward something in the store. So... why not? Since I will be getting my money's worth. There are other perks on the card too :]

I've already started using these things, so I can't wait to share my reviews with you in the next coming weeks. Have you guys tried any of these items?

Anyway, if you've taken advantage of that Groupon deal, you have a couple of days before you lose that extra $5! Feel free to share your hauls below if you already went to pick up your goodies.

XOXO!

New bling, new shoes, and new year!

Hi beauties!

I hope you are enjoying your week so far. I was fortunate enough to have 3 days off in a row, so I thought I would go pay my family a visit. Seeing them is always a very refreshing change for me. I get to eat dad's delicious home cooked meals, teach mom new tricks on the computer, bargain shop with my sister, and jam on the acoustics with my brother in law.

We celebrated Chinese New Year by feasting this delicious meal cooked by my dad.
Stir fry lobster with cheese sauce, garlic shrimp, peking duck, a steamed vegetables.

I'm drooling again, just typing about it...

Scored some Dolce Vita for Target shoes for $7.48 and Merona ballet flats for $4.98 on clearance at Target. My sister knows where to find deals!!

And I tweeted a while back about free jewelry from Charlotte Russe, but might have forgotten to blog about it. They are still offering this. All you need to do is 'like' Charlotte Russe on Facebook, click on the Free Jewelry tab, print it out, or select the send to phone option. You must make a purchase to get the free jewelry. So of course, being the frugalista that I am, I got a $1.99 shirt that was on clearance. Picked up this bow like looking ring ^_^ Get yours soon, I don't know how long this special lasts for.

Recent beauty purchases

I have a confession: I can't help it but buy when I see awesome deals! Things that are on sale and clearance is my weakness... Here's what I picked up recently.

50% to 75% clearance items at CVS. $42.36 total

The $2 Urban Decay sale at Hautelook came in! $24 total

Target's Deal of the Day $6.99

I loved the REN products so much that I had to get the dry skin set! I had a drugstore.com bucks for when I purchased my contact lenses at visiondirect.com [I think I got 5% back] $27.52

Did you guys find any good after Christmas buys? There was SO much out there that I think I've spent enough for the whole month of January back then.

Shameless self promotion: if you guys are on Twitter, drop by and follow me @SiSiSparkles - I usually tweet deals that go on for a day and not have the chance to blog about it sometimes.

Sephora coupon + new skin care routine?

Hello beauties!

Did you guys get your $15 off $40 purchase from Sephora? I think you only get it from being a Beauty Insider [it is free to sign up]. So my sister and I went to the store to check out what deals we could get. We decided to get our foundation matched. However, I did not end up leaving with a new foundation.

Long story short, my consultant said that my skin IS NOT oily/combination like I had said. She went on to say that it's "extremely dry", and that the reason my skin may appear to be oily was because it wasn't getting enough moisture, so it creates this "oily barrier". Have you heard of such a thing? I always thought that I saw dry patches because it's winter time...  She did sound like she knew what she was talking about. Have any of you experience something like this? To be honest, I felt kinda embarrassed and enlightened at the same time.

I told her all my facial products and cleansers were for oily/combination skin, so she said I needed a new skin care regimen. She recommended the REN Clean Bio Active Skincare - Six Of The Best [$71 value] for $40. I was like, cool, $40! I can use my coupon and got it for $25. I'll try this set out, and keep you guys updated on my "skin conditions".

What did you use your Sephora coupon on?

Recent Kohls and Ulta hauls

You guys probably know I'm a major bargain shopper by now. I had a blast looking through the clearance section of Kohls and Ulta on my last day off from work. Here's what I picked up ~

Hello Kitty shirt<3 $9.99

My new "gamer" shirt $6.00

Can you believe it? My FIRST official pair of skinny jeans... I'm not very fashionable, I guess >.< $16.80

Saved $59.05 because these items were on clearance + I had a 30% coupon in the mail for having their charge card. They will usually send me coupons like this every once in a while. They even gave me back the coupon because I could reuse it again and again until it expired! WOW!

And then at Ulta ~

NYX trio eyeshadow in Perpetual $4.19
NYX trio eyeshadow in Hippie-Chic $4.19
NYX felt tip eyeliner in Extreme Black $4.19
NYX lipstick in Celebrate $1.79
Ulta Lengendary lengths mascara - got for free because I was "level 3" this quarter from my Ulta club card.

All the NYX items were on clearance, but their computer didn't think so... that's why my receipts all weird and long. Swatches and reviews coming soon on these!

Any good bargains recently?? Please share your links below, and if you're on Twitter too, leave me your Twitter name, I'm looking to follow more people on there :] I'm @sisisparkles
