Review: Everyday Minerals blush - Girl Friday

My thoughts and experience:
I received this mini blush in my Beauty Box 5 and was really excited about it. I'm a huge fan of Everyday Minerals, ever since I found my perfect foundation shade. Girl Friday is a very soft, girly, and matte plum shade. The mini jars come with a lid and holds about 1.7g of powdered blush. Simply sprinkle some on  the lid or a paper towel and swirl your blush brush until you get enough color desired. I really don't need alot of it because the color is pretty pigmented.

[L:swatched once | R: swatched 3x]

It applies smoothly on my cheeks. The lasting power is about 6 - 8 hours for me. I like the matte in it, because it can be used everyday for work. I would definitely recommend this!

Ingredients:

Retail Price: $6.99 for mini size (1.7g) | $10.99 for big size (5.5g)

Review: Smashbox Limitless Beauty Kit

What is it?
"You asked for stay-put products, we’re delivering in one must-have kit. It’s all you’ll need to stay chic from dawn till dusk—no reapplying necessary. Free step-by-step guide."

Retail Price: $39.00

Where to buy: www.smashbox.com

My thoughts and experience:
Photo Finish foundation primer:
This stuff is amazing! All you need is a small pea size amount, less is more in this case. Once I apply the primer on my clean face, I can immediately feel the smoothness and velvety feeling upon touch. It created an invisible layer, and it helped my foundation stay on much longer! I usually have to blot a couple of times a day, but with the primer, I blot once during a whole work shift (usually 8+ hours). It makes my skin appear smoother and also make up application easier. This is definitely something I will use over and over!

Limitless Beauty Eye Shadow Palette & Brush:
I like the different neutral colors offered in this palette. To me, it seems like I could do more night looks than I would with day looks - alot of neutral and smokey eyes, that's for sure. The eyeshadows stayed on without creasing into each other for about 4 hours without primer and over 10 hours with a primer. I mainly used the brush to apply shadow to upper and lower lash lines only because it was such a little brush.

Left to Right -
Matte vanilla: used on brow bone for highlight, color is not pigmented, very light and barely visible.
Rose Copper: used on lid, shimmery and has a metallic effect, pigmented, has slight fall out.
Purple Taupe: used on outer corner, upper and lower lash line, has a slight shimmer, very pigmented.
Champagne: used on lid, shimmery and has a metallic effect, pigmented, has slight fall out.
Matte brown: used on outer corner, upper and lower lash line, matte, very pigmented.

Limitless Eye Liner in Java:
The eyeliner is a smooth, coffee brown color. It goes very well with my brown eyes (with or without eyeshadow). I love that it doesn't smudge and can easily stay on well over 8 hours.

Blush Rush in Everlasting:
A soft, happy pink color. It's a buildable blush color that is easy to blend with a brush. It doesn't look cakey at all and looks very natural. This color is suited for people with light to medium complexions, as it is not very pigmented.

Limitless Long Wear Lip Gloss SPF 15 in 'Round-the-Clock:
A light pink lip gloss. The wand applicator makes it easy to apply on lips. The formula is not thick, but it is definitely sticky and glossy. I think this is more suited for people with light complexion, as the color doesn't really show up on my lips very much. This goes very well with the palette that is included in the set. It stays on for a good 6 hours without eating/drinking.

Tada!!~
I used all of these products included in the beauty kit to finish this look. I also used foundation, eye primer, and mascara that was not included.

Review: Smashbox Creamy Cheek Color - Untamed

What is it?
This luxurious creamy cheek color instantly gives you a sexy summer flush. The sheer formula with vitamin E glides on easily and blends flawlessly with no streaking or fading. Packaged in a chic mirrored animal print deco compact for touchups anywhere.

Retail Price: $12.00

Where to buy: No longer available on Smashbox, try Amazon.com

My thoughts and experience:
Untamed is warm, blendable cheek color. It is technically a bronzer, but when blended on the cheeks, it looks more like a cream blush. The formula is creamy, pigmented, and not sticky. See how much color there is when I swipe it on my finger?  I always use clean fingers to apply after applying foundation.

At first, I would just swipe it across my face after powder foundation. I found that this made it clumpy and uneven. The trick is to pat it on gently. I like that the color is blendable and buildable. The color stays on all day without re-applying. It provides a dewy, glow look and is such a pretty, warm, and neutral color that would go with many skin tones.
I love this and have nothing bad to say about this product, highly recommend it!

Have you guys tried any of Smashbox's creamy cheek colors?

Review: Everyday Minerals blush - Salon Fun and Rhapsody in Peach

What is it?
Mineral blush that is pitch perfect performance everytime.
Fresh faces finishes in matte, pearl, and shimmer.
Super light and effortless to use.
Clean, natural, and gorgeous with one sweep.
- Everyday Minerals website

Price: $9 each

Where to buy: everydayminerals.com

My thoughts:
Wow, what a large amount of blush in this compact container. Once the lid is removed, I notice the half-sided swivel that keeps the loose mineral blush inside the container. This is a major plus because with mineral makeup, once you tip it over, and product gets everywhere, it's a hard to "put it back" and eventually is wasted. Not with Everyday Mineral blushes! It's really easy to use: I open the lid, turn the swivel half way, and tap a little blush out onto the large lid. Then, I proceed to swirl my blush brush in there, and turn the swivel back until I hear it snap closed. I love this feature because it keeps the blush fresh longer, cleaner, and is mess free. I received two blushes to try out - Salon Fun and Rhapsody in Peach. Salon fun is fresh pink color with a hint of raspberry, and Rhapsody in Peach is soft coral with a peachy sheen. These blushes are very pigmented, just a little bit goes a long way. Both of these blushes go on silky smooth, and lasts all day! I couldn't help but notice that it gives me a very natural blush glow - an "I look happy all the time" kind. These 5.5g of blush will surely last a long while!

Review: Hard Candy Hide & Glow Cheek - Hot Date

What is it?
A cheek tint that brightens cheeks for a just pinched natural flush. Lightweight formula blends evenly into skin and lasts for hours! Two perfectly coordinated shades - wear alone or blend together. - Hard Candy website

Price: $6 at Walmart

My thoughts: I love the Hard Candy's packaging on their products. They are always fun and full of design on the outside, and easy to use. I received "Hot Date" to try out. This cheek tint duo has two colors to it, one is a pink cherry blossom color and the other side is a more of a reddish plum color. You twist the top part to get product to come out, kinda like a lip balm. It's very convenient, something I would just throw in my make up bag. I applied this by rubbing clean fingers on the stick, and swiping it on my face, then blending it out. I've also applied it directly to my face, and used clean fingers to blend it out too. The texture is a little sticky and a little creamy. It goes on really smooth, and the color is easily blendable for light to heavier color. The color stays on all day - atleast 10 hours without reapplying. This cheek tint has a nice dewy finish, which is great for people with dryer skin. It definitely gave me a very natural blush look. It is definitely my new go to blush :]

L: darker blush color (reddish plum)
R: lighter blush color (cherry blossom)

Packaging: 10 out of 10

Ease of use: 9 out of 10

Product: 10 out of 10

Price: 10 out of 10

Have you tried this before?  Thanks for reading!

Review/Swatch: $8 Rock and Republic blushes

Good day!

I've been reading some beauty blogs lately, and I definitely enjoy reading InsideOut Elle. She did a recent post on how to get $8 blushes from Rock and Republic. I will attempt to do a condensed version.
You can only get two at a time, I've purchased 4 of them so far. When my sister sent me the invite, I got a $25 free credit. The blushes are originally $40 each. In order to use the $25 credit, you must spend $75 worth of merchandise. 2 blushes = $80 minus 50% off coupon on their cosmetics (limited time), use code ROCKCOSMETICS = $40, minus $25 free credit = $15 plus $0.99 shipping (limited time) = $15.99. That comes out to two Rock and Republic blushes for $8 each! What a great steal. I sent myself an invite to another email, and ordered two more this way :] You can click on images to enlarge.

The four that I purchased were Lust, Bedroom, Shameless, and Seduce. Swatches in different lighting -

When I received these, it came via Fed Ex. Packaging was wonderful, it was bubble wrapped. It is presented in a black circle box with the name over it. It's sealed with stickers. You then open it up, and it's a compact of the pressed blush with mirror. It's HUGE! The colors are pigmented and glide on smoothly. It gives your face a nice, natural glow.

Lust - rosy pink with with shimmer
Bedroom - light matte pink
Shameless - medium brown with shimmer
Seduce - light berry with shimmer

They are usually out of stock immediately after they restock, so you must hurry! If you'd like an invite, I'd love it if you used my referral, you do get a $25 credit when you join.
