Review: Kiehl's Ultra Facial oil free toner

My thoughts and experience:
I purchased this toner in conjunction with Kiehl's Ultra Facial oil free cleanser. And I must say, they go  very well together. I decided to give this "normal to oily skin type" toner a try because of the warmer and more humid Summer months. It's completely oil free, fragrance free, paraben free, and silicone free!

After washing my face, I dabble some of this toner onto a cotton ball, and wipe my face clean. Toners can be used to help minimize pores, remove any excess make up that your cleanser missed, and even out your skin. This toner helps prepare your skin for the moisturizer step and helps absorb it better. I love that this toner removes excess residue without sucking the moisture out of my skin. I have noticed my skin feeling more even toned (less bumpy) after using this product for the last couple of weeks.

Overall, I think Kiehl's Ultra Facial oil free toner is a great addition to my everyday prep step. I would definitely repurchase this again!

Review: REN Tonic Moisture Mist

What is it? A cooling and hydrating facial spray that revives and tones the complexion.

Retail Price:  $28.00

Where to buy: www.renskincare.com

My thoughts and experience:
I've been a fan of REN products since I've tried 6 of their best last year. Something about the goodies in their products, or lack thereof, I should say - no parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance or colors, etc... I figured, since winter was coming up, I wanted to use a brand I was familiar with to help with my super dry skin.

This toner mist comes in a nice glass bottle. I find that the misting part sprays just a tad bit too much, based on other toners I've used before. I use it atleast 3 times a day - before make up, after make up, and after washing my face at night. I've gone through more than half of the bottle already! Spraying my face before make up helps to prepare the surface for make up. Spraying my face after using powdered foundation helps to set it, and keep it looking fresh and radiant throughout the day. Lastly, I use it after washing my face at night to help give it moisture through the night.

I find this product to be very hydrating for my skin, a mist will get rid of any dry spots. It's also very refreshing. It has a light rosy scent, which took some getting used to (I'm not a fan of rose scented things).

Overall, I think this refreshing moisture mist is a great product to use, especially during these dry months.

Retail price: $35 for 3.4fl oz.

Where to buy: dermstore.com, kerstinflorianusa.com, Amazon.com

My thoughts and experience:
I received this deluxe sample sized item (1 fl oz) in my Beautyfix package. It is available in a spritzer bottle, which I find so convenient (hey, save some money on the cotton balls too!) Although the bottle that I received says "Aromatherapy Neroli Water", I have contacted Kerstin Florian, and they did confirm that the name has been changed to "Rehydrating Neroli Water".

Onto the product, let me just say that this product smells AMAZING! It has a very light, misty floral scent, almost like a honeysuckle. After I wash my face, I spritz it on as a toner, then apply my moisturizer. I've also used it as a makeup setting spray after applying mineral foundation. It's great for my dry skin because it is super hydrating. You can also use it as a body mist after you shower, too!
It's a little out of my budget range, however, it is well worth it! The little bottle lasted for a good amount of time.
