Where to buy: www.everydayminerals.com

My thoughts and experience:
I was so pleased with some of the things that was sent to me from Everyday Minerals that I just had to buy this foundation. You may be wondering how I found my color with an online website... well, they have a special offer online for free small sizes of mineral foundations in certain color ranges. I would definitely encourage you to get free sample to help you choose the right color for your skin.

Anyway, onto the product. I love the way this product is packaged. It's in a round, shallow container with a lid and a rotating sifter. The sifter can be swiveled to open or close to help keep the product fresh and avoid any spillage. This is a great plus for me because I've spilled and wasted alot of mineral makeup before.

The color is a medium olive color with a yellow base undertone (perfect for my Asian skin). It's always hard for me to find foundations with a yellow undertone - it's always a pink or golden undertone. It glides on smoothly on my face without any caking at all. The minerals in the foundation give off a little shimmer, but not too much to make my face look oily or anything. It looks dewy throughout the day. I would say that it offers medium to full coverage with this product. I brush on one or two layers to help even my skin tone and cover red spots around my cheeks. There are actually four types of formulas on their foundation bases. I chose the semi-matte base because It works well with my dry skin, I just need to make sure I moisturize well before using this product.

I am very pleased with this foundation, and will purchase it again.

Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Liquid Foundation review

Happy Thanksgiving in advance, everyone :] I'll be going on a four hour drive to Alabama to see my hubby's grandparents. There will definitely be some good country cooking! I'm not much of a turkey eater, but I know I will still enjoy whatever they cook. Anyway... to the review!

I purchase this a couple of weeks back, and have been using it almost everyday. I've never been a big fan of liquid foundations because I usually break out using it [I've always used mineral foundation]. However, I do like this Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Liquid Foundation [wow what a long name...!]

Here's a quick overview/claims from maybelline.com -

"Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Liquid Foundation with 100% micro-mineral pigments not only provides perfect coverage and all-day hydration, but also makes your skin clearer, smoother and more radiant - even when you’re not wearing any."

Retail Price: $8.99

My thoughts: This liquid foundation has a little opening on the top, almost like a baby bottle. You shake it well, and squeeze product out. I use clean fingers to dot the foundation around my face, and blend it in a circular motion. This foundation is liquidy. It's also really easy to apply, and goes on smoothly on my face. It has a light to medium coverage, and it's something that you can build [apply product in layers if you need more coverage]. I can't feel it when it's on my face, very lightweight. Having oily/combination skin, this product doesn't work too well for me. I start to get oily after 4 or 5 hours, and will have to blot. It does keep my face hydrated over 8 hours though, and doesn't cake up. It also makes my face feel radiant, and evens out my skin tone [my chin and mouth area is darker than the rest of my face]. I definitely recommend it to someone who has dry to normal skin who does not need a full coverage foundation.

Would I buy this again? Probably not, because I need something that will keep my face matte. If I didn't have an oily/combination face, I would definitely buy it again :]

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts on it? Have a lovely day :]
