FOTD: 08.04.12

I love this natural eye look with the matte wings! It was a first for me to use a wet brush and then dipping it into eyeshadow. It was actually very easy. The eyeshadows are from a new by Anastasia - She Wears It Well palette, which I will be doing a review on it next week!! I posted a sneak peek of it on my Instagram here. It's such a pretty neutral palette.

Another pretty day in Atlanta! We had a cold front recently so the temperature has dropped down to the 70's in the mornings, and it's not as hot as 100s in the afternoons. I decided to take my face of the day pictures outside, and I think they turned out pretty good. I should take more face shots outside.

Tutorial: Easy brown eyes look

It's been a while since I've done one of these tutorial looks. This one is just a very simple brown eye looks. You can substitute the colors to what you have to create the same look. I find that this look really makes my brown eyes POP, and it's a quick and easy to do look for everyday wear.

1. Prime your lids. Priming your lids before eyeshadow application makes the eyeshadow stay crease free, and not smudge. This is the most important step for me, because I have really oily eyelids!

2. Apply a light brown color (similar to your skin tone) all over your lid. I used Urban Decay's Suspect.

3. Apply a darker brown color to the corners of your lid up to half way, and a little bit above your crease area. I used Orglamix's Chai.

4. Apply a highlighter color from your crease to your brow bone, something that is very sheer. I used Ulta's baked eyeshadow in Taken.

5. Apply a dark brown eyeliner above your eye, and also on the lower waterline. I only went 2/3 of the way because I have small eyes and did not want to make them look even smaller. I used Urban Decay's 24/7 pencil liner in Crash.

6. Curl your lashes and apply mascara. I used Revitalash Mascara.

FunnyFace Beauty's Dare to Wear Charity Challenge for Japan

FOTD: 02/25/11

Is it Spring yet? I'm so tired of this cold weather [ok, 30 degrees is an exaggeration... but still!] I wanted to do a bright Spring color look, a lively green, and a gorgeous pink. I would usually wear the colors the other way around, but wanted to try to reverse the color. Tada!

I just wanted enough pink to barely show up when I opened my eyes. With these monolids, you just see the pop of green!

Fall/Thanksgiving inspired LOTD
