to Teach Consumers How to Use the Products They Already Own and Refresh their Look

WHAT:                    Nearly every woman owns at least one impulse beauty buy that she has no idea how to use, or is too intimidated to try on her own at home.  MAKE UP FOR EVER’s team of professional artists will take a look inside consumers’ make up bags and teach them how to properly use what they’ve got regardless of the brand, as well as overhaul products that are the wrong shade or texture, or may be past their prime.  MAKE UP FOR EVER is bringing the same techniques used by wardrobe stylists in the closet to style your make up bag at their innovative mobile Make Up School.

HOW:                       Consumers are invited to book appointments for 30 minute one-on-one make up bag evaluations inside the Make Up School, where a professional artist will go through their bag, provide an interactive, hands-on lesson explaining how to apply their products, and show them how to supplement what they already own to create their most flattering looks.  Each client will walk away with a new make up bag, a custom face chart detailing how to use the products they brought, and a list of any additional products recommended by the artist to round out their look.  A professional photographer will also be on-site to capture each client’s “after” look, which will be uploaded to an album on the MAKE UP FOR EVER USA Facebook page.

                                    For those on-the-go with limited time, MAKE UP FOR EVER will have make up stations dedicated to walk up “Focus Lessons” highlighting four of the most requested techniques: the Essential Smoky Eye, Bright Eyed Lift, Flawless Complexion and Perfect Lasting Lip.  Our make up professionals will be on-hand to help women master our most requested looks, and provide them with a lesson flash card to take home so they can easily re-create the looks on their own.

Seen Global Blogger Bash

I had a great time at the Seen Global Blogger Bash this week! I got the chance to hear the story behind Seen Global, make some DIY jewelry bags and even pick out my own piece of jewelry. It was good to see some of my blogging buddies and meet some new ones too. 

Natalie, owner, started the company because of her love for travel, culture and fashion. They offer unique, handmade accessories made from around the world. All products are bought fair-trade! We got to see different pieces from around the world - Mexico, Peru, Kenya.

Misheke Cosmetics launch party

Hi babes! 

I had a great evening at the Misheke Cosmetics launch party in downtown Atlanta held at the Georgia World Congress Center. The place was filled with gorgeous models, bloggers, vendors, and of course, the make up. I was able to see some of my fellow bloggers again, and meet some new ones too! 

Although it was a cosmetics launch party, I think many people were really excited about the fashion show. It was the main event of the evening! It featured several Atlanta's very own designers. Sheckys Girls Night Out Goodie Bag and Pics

Sheckys Girls Night Out was fun! Was it worth the $15 I paid? I would say so. Their infamous "Goodie Bag" made it worth it. There are different items in each bag, it seems, because the friends that I went with got some stuff that I didn't have! Here are the items I received this year -

Overall, I think the most fun thing was peeking inside the goodie bags. They had some pretty watered down mixed drinks and some bottled beer (Bud Light, Barcardi Lemon, Sangria, etc)... Some booths had small giveaways such as lip balms and hand sanitizer. Alot of women go for the shopping. We ended up staying for about 3 hours, but 1 1/2 hours was standing in line because my friends wanted to get their make up done.

Sheckys girls night out $10 off

If you've been looking for a fun night out with the girls, look no further... check out Sheckys! Sheckys is an evening event extravaganza that takes place in select major cities in the US. It started about 8 years ago, however I have just attended the previous 3. I see it as a great night to get away to be with girlfriends. If I could describe the event in three words, it would be - girlfriends, drinks, and goodies! You pay a $25 admissions fee which includes admissions, a goodie bag, and free drinks (Sangria, Midori, SKYY, etc) all night.

The goodie bags are stuffed with things like samples sizes of lotions, shampoos, coupons to places, hair accessories, and books. The last few times I've been were pretty crowded. They have booths set up with vendors that sell clothing, accessories, purses, shoes, make up, you name it. If I'm not mistaken, they do this two times a year in your city for 3 nights each. It's also fun to dress up, because they have this Sheckys screen in the back and a photographer will take your picture and post it on their website :] Last year, I went with 2 other girlfriends... this year, I think it will be closer to 8! I'll be sure to take some pictures.
