Initial thoughts: Personal Microderm System

I was recently asked to test out this Personal Microderm System from dermstore.com
I am super excited to test and review this device. I tried it the other day and I wanted to share my initial thoughts.

What it is:
A hand-held microdermabrasion tool to help smooth away the signs of aging.

What it's used for:
Attain professional microdermabrasion results without having to take a step into a spa or doctor's office. The Personal MicroDerm System is an essential skin care tool for achieving an even, refined and healthy complexion. Using the same aluminum oxide crystals as professional treatments, allows you to produce the same amazing results.

My initial thoughts: I was really excited to give this new patented tool a try once I saw the required 8 minute video. The video disc was extremely informative. It showed me how to set up the device, how to use it, and how to clean and maintain it. I started out with the blue colored exfoliating pad, since I have really dry and sensitive skin. I immediately saw the dead skin cells rise to the surface as I slowly moved the device across my cheeks. I could hear the suction sounds as it went over areas of my face. This lets me know that I am doing it correctly too. I could definitely feel the pressure and suction, although it was nothing painful. I used it all over my face, except around the eye area. It probably took about 10 minutes. Afterwards, I can see the dead skin cells everywhere! It was really interesting... Then, I washed my face, dried it, and applied toner and a moisturizer. My face felt smoother, cleaner, and a little tender from the pressure and suction. I am really excited to see the results after a few weeks. I will post my full review then.
