My thoughts and experience: What an interesting product... dried nail polish. This was one of the samples in my September Birchbox. When I opened the packet, it actually does smell like nail lacquer. It was easy to use, and no mess at all.

How to use: First, you need to clean out all the nail polish and buff your nails. Then, remove the clear part of the nail strip and the bottom part (it's two sided) and take the "nail polish" and adhere to your nail bed. You can stretch the strip a little bit gently if you needed it to be larger. The strip is soft and flexible. Next, fold the strip downwards and file excess. It comes off easily and is dried already. The nail strip has a base coat, color[s], and a top coat! I couldn't find a strip to fit my index finger, so I just painted with regular nail polish.

I used a cuticle cutter to cut out any of the excess nail strip that was hanging out of my nail bed. It stayed on for over 7 days before I saw a crack or chip. It's like a REAL manicure! I'm SO impressed with these and look forward to purchasing some for myself later. From the looks of it, they have a lot of different colors and designs.

Have you tried these nail strips before?

  2. OMG thank you so much for doing a review on these. I got it in my Birchbox too. I'm not really into nail polishes because I don't have the patience of applying them, but these seems like something I can handle haha.

    And guess what?
When you order from the site, they come with a kit for EACH set : more sizes, small file, cuticle stick AND two polish removal cloths.

    Such a genius product.
