Preview: ORLY's Pinup Summer 2011 Collection

Hello my lovelies! I'm so excited to be sharing with you about ORLY's new Pin Up Summer 2011 Collection that comes out in May of this year. I received two colors to try out - Coquette Cutie and Here Comes Trouble.

What is it?
A collection of nail polishes inspired by the unapologetic glitz and free-spirited attitude of the most iconic pinup girls. The collection exudes a vivacious, dolled-up femininity that laces any look with sheer confidence. Pinup offers a shade for every glamour girl, from the sophisticated seductress to the fearless rock n roll goddess. Bright, feminine cremes mingle with eye catching jewel-tone glitters to offer a range of colors sure to turn heads.

The four lacquers include:
Va Va Voom: pink neon creme
Here Comes Trouble: sparkle green
Coquette Cutie: coral creme
Bubbly Bombshell: purple glitter

All ORLY nail lacquers include the Pinup collection are free of DBP, Toluene and all traces of Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde Resin.

Price: $7.50

Where can I buy this?: orlybeauty.com, Sally Beauty, Ulta.

Available in: May 2011

My thoughts: I definitely love the easy to grip rubber handle of these nail polishes. The brush applicator is on the thinner side, which allows for easy application for people with a smaller nail bed. Lacquer did not streak while applying. Drying time did not take long at all, rather quickly, I must say. Coquette Cutie looks like a creamy, yet bold, coral with a pink undertone. Two coats was enough for full opacity. Here Comes Trouble is a green glitter (in two different sizes) with a yellowish hue undertone. I wore 3 coats to achieve the look below. The quality of the nail polish is excellent, I didn't see chipping until the 5th day. Comments were flying left and right on how beautiful these colors are. Overall, I think these are a great value for the fun, eclectic summer colors (for some reason, these color choices do not make me think of pin up girls), as well as the quality of the lacquers. I look forward to purchasing the other two colors when the collection comes out.

Coquette Cutie - 2 coats

Here Comes Trouble - 3 coats

Packaging: 10 out of 10

What do you think of the collection?

NOTD: 02.07.11

I am loving the way this is shattering into little pieces when you apply Shatter - OPI in a thinner coating. It works nicely with this bright color! :]

Seche Vite Top Coat

Oh yeah! Did you guys hear about China Glaze's new crackle nail polishes?? They should be at Sally's Beauty stores this month. Some of you might have seen them already. I can't decide which color I want! You can see swatches at The PolishAholic.
