Snip Snip at Great Clips!

After a long debate, I decided to get a hair cut. It doesn't usually take that long to grow back, so I wasn't too attached. Another reason I decided to get it cut was because my hair was shedding everywhere. I decided to go with a short hair bob and bangs because I wanted something different. I've always had layers in my hair, so this time, it was just a straight cut.

I figured since it was a simple cut, I would go to Great Clips. I "checked in" on my phone before I got there, so they were already expecting me. It was a quiet day, because no one was there. 

Kellie, my hair stylist, was friendly and she knew exactly what I wanted. It only took her about 15 minutes to do my hair. 

Since I was taking off more than 10 inches, I decided to donate it to Locks of Love. Did you know that your hair cut is free if you have them donate it?? I was certainly surprised, because I didn't see it advertised on their website. I asked her if this was something they did at all the Great Clips, and she said yes.  It's a win-win for everyone!

I love it, my head feels so much lighter too!

May's Instagrams

A couple interesting things that happened in the month of May through Instagram photos :] I know these posts are totally unrelated to beauty, but it's a way for me to show my readers tidbits about my life, hehe.

1. Attended the midnight release of The Avengers in 3D. It's been forever since I've attended one of those.

2. A new international concourse opened up at the busiest airport in the world, Hartsfield Jackson in Atlanta. I now work in that terminal.

3. Found this delicious coconut drinks with chunks that reminded me of back home.

4. Went to a Greek festival with some friends, which will be a yearly thing from now on! They had amazing food, great music and it was fun to watch the kids dance.

5. The love of my life celebrated a birthday! <3 

6. I loooove couponing! Paid $9.95 for all that.

My hubby and I are celebrating our anniversary this week, and it just so happens that we both have the whole week off! It's been so long since I've actually had a whole week. I'll be taking a little vacation, and will be back next week.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I know it's been almost a month since my last post. Everything has just been happening SO fast. I guess they call it "life", huh? 

We just purchased our home, and have been trying to unload and load things here. We're extremely blessed and thankful to be able to do this. It felt like it was such a long journey to get here... but we finally made it! It's time to slow things down, and just get settled in and make memories. The holidays always seem to go by so fast... This is just gonna be a quick post, because I know you guys are probably busy cooking or eating or spending time with your families.

Hi my lovely readers!
 
I just wanted to give a short update to let you guys know that I may be M.I.A. for the next couple of weeks on here. Hubby and I are in the process of moving out of our apartment and moving in with family while we wait on the closing of our very own first home!!!  We are both SUPER excited about it. We've looked at maybe 8 houses, and we think we've found the right one. Please keep us in your prayers that everything works out.

I am also starting a new job, and school has also started, so everything is just NEW right now. But I love the feeling, and can't wait to get situated. 

I'll miss blogging and "socializing" with you all. But I will be back as soon as I can!! I promise!!

Just so you know what to expect in the next couple of weeks, I will still post a review every now and then. But I won't have time to get the latest scoop on beauty deals or sales. I will be tweeting away on Twitter, so you guys can get personal updates through that. I am also on Facebook, but I won't be doing any personal updates on there.

Random post 08.07.11

Hi everyone!

I think I might start doing random posts which may include things about food, traveling, fashion or just things that were interesting during my week. I sort of threw the question out on Twitter, and got some positive responses. Then I got to thinking, well, it's MY blog, it has MY name on it, so why shouldn't I write about ME more often? Sometimes I guess I don't think I am a very interesting person to talk about, or that I feel kind of vain doing so... but that's what blogs are for, right? Do you guys do personal/random posts on your blogs??

I had my first Naked Juice this week, this stuff is SO good. It's like a thick smoothie drink. I have to drink it over ice to water it down a little. It's one of those all natural, only made with fruit stuff. Yay for that!

Also, I ordered these cute heels from sole society (coupon via my Fashionable Atlanta goodie bag) because I wanted to practice walking in heels. I wanted something in a shorter length, but all I could really find was 4-5 inch heels or flats. My feet is gonna have to get used to these, since I only wear flats o.O I'm so glad it fits though.

Well, that's all that was interesting this week. I'm going on vacation on Friday, I cannot wait! We're going to Orlando to see Shamu :D

New bling, new shoes, and new year!

Hi beauties!

I hope you are enjoying your week so far. I was fortunate enough to have 3 days off in a row, so I thought I would go pay my family a visit. Seeing them is always a very refreshing change for me. I get to eat dad's delicious home cooked meals, teach mom new tricks on the computer, bargain shop with my sister, and jam on the acoustics with my brother in law.

We celebrated Chinese New Year by feasting this delicious meal cooked by my dad.

Stir fry lobster with cheese sauce, garlic shrimp, peking duck, a steamed vegetables.

I'm drooling again, just typing about it...

Scored some Dolce Vita for Target shoes for $7.48 and Merona ballet flats for $4.98 on clearance at Target. My sister knows where to find deals!!

And I tweeted a while back about free jewelry from Charlotte Russe, but might have forgotten to blog about it. They are still offering this. So of course, being the frugalista that I am, I got a $1.99 shirt that was on clearance. Picked up this bow like looking ring ^_^ Get yours soon, I don't know how long this special lasts for.

My New Years resolutions

Hello lovelies!

I'm so excited for the upcoming 2011, it's gonna be a brand new year. I always hope for the best, new opportunities, and ways to learn more. I know I'm not the first one to come up with these kind of tag games, but I thought this might be fun for some of us. Basically, you share your New Years resolutions that you would like to accomplish before the end of 2011. Tag a couple of your blogging buddies, or anyone is welcomed to join in this case. It can be beauty related, or personal :]

Here's mine:

Attend a college. I've been out of school for over 7 years, and I've never felt the need to go to school. With the continued economic slump, I now understand that someone with a degree can come in and take my place at any time.

Move to a different place. Hubby and I would really like to try to move out of Atlanta and into a more diverse place. We've been looking into Houston for it's diversity as well as warmer weather.

Try false lashes. It's something I've been wanting to try but never have.

Go on a cruise. Maybe when it's cold, I'll try to go on a nice, warm cruise.

Continue blogging. I've been known to start different blogs, and then just stop after 3-6 months. I lose interest, get bored, or get demotivated to write. I want to stick with this one!

Cook more, eat out less. Currently, I only cook about 2-3 times a week... I want to learn to cook more. My dad is a chef, so maybe I will learn to cook from him. We got some cooking pots, a slow cooker, and a griddle for Christmas, so now I have no excuse!
